Taylor Dayne was born on 7th March 1962. Her professions include actor, singer, and songwriter.She became famous in 1987 with the song "Tell It to My Heart." There were six more U.S. top-10 hits for Dayne, including "Love Will Lead You Back," "With Every Beat of My Heart," and "Prove Your Love." She has won multiple New York Music Awards and been nominated for two Grammys. The New York Hall of Fame has recognized her achievements, and Rolling Stone ranks her among the top female dance artists of all time. Her ranking in December 2016 on Billboard magazine's list of the world's most successful dance artists was 28.

• Taylor Daynerecorded two dance singles for the New York indie label Mega Bolt after graduating from college, "I'm The One You Want" (1985) and "Tell Me Can You Love Me" (1986).

• Her second album in the 90s did not top the American charts, and she only had one more Top 40 hit in the decade, "Can't Get Enough of Your Love," which reached No 2 on the Australian ARIA Charts. Her 1993 album Soul Dancing reached No. 2 on the Australian ARIA Charts but only No. 20 on the U.S. Hot 100. 

• Taylor Daynereleased her first single, "Beautiful," from her studio album Satisfied on December 11, 2007. This song was written by Dayne and Hitesh Ceon of 3 Elementz. She promoted it on many radio stations, including WKTU in New York.

• Taylor Daynelobbied Congress in May 2010 on behalf of NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) and VH1's Save The Music Foundation to reduce cuts to music education.
