Sonu Nigam is a well-known playback singer in the Bollywood film business who is noted for both his diverse voice and unique singing style. Sonu has succeeded as a playback singer since a very young age and has also tried with several genres without difficulty. He has performed more than 2000 songs to date in around ten different languages. Sonu made the decision to reduce his workload in 2006, at the height of his career as the highest-paid male playback vocalist in Bollywood, in order to focus more on personal endeavours and live performances.

Careers:

In 1990: Sonu's playback singing in the film Janam led to his big break.

In 1995: T-series owner Gulshan Kumar offered him the song "Achha Sila Diya Tune," which went on to become a massive hit.

In 1997: His career took off when he performed back-to-back songs for the film "Border," including "Sandese Aate Hain."

In 1999: With songs like "YehDil" in "Pardes," he switched between many musical genres and styles.

In 2003, Sonu's biggest hit came from the song Kal Ho Na Ho.

From 2005-2014, Sonu Nigam provided the vocals for every other Bollywood film song. He won the audience from his songs like "Suraj Hua Madhyam" “Main Hoon Na”, “Jaane Nahin Denge Tujhe” from 3 idiots

President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam presented Sonu with the national film award for best playback singer in 2005.
