Iris Luella DeMent was born January 5, 1961. She known for her singing talent. DeMent's musical style such as elements of folk, country and gospel. She has been chosen for a Grammy Award twice. She started singing at age five as one of "the little DeMent sisters". Iris had face bad phase when she forgot her words during the first performance, which caused her to avoid performance in public for some time.
