Sir Oliver Heald is a British Conservative politician and barrister who represented North Hertfordshire and later North East Hertfordshire in Parliament from 1992 to 2024. Born on 15 December 1954 in Reading, Berkshire, he studied Law at Pembroke College, Cambridge, before being called to the Bar in 1977. Oliver worked as a barrister, specialising in employment law, before entering Westminster. During his parliamentary career, he held several senior positions, including Solicitor General and Minister of State for Courts and Justice.
