Lal Krishna Advani is a well-known Indian politician born in Karachi. Lal Krishna Advani is a politician from India and one of the original Bharat Janata Party founders (BJP). He served as the nation's deputy prime minister and twice presided as the opposition leader in the Lok Sabha. His early education was at Saint Patrick's High School in Karachi. Later, he attended D G National College in Hyderabad, Sindh (Pakistan). He had a political interest at a young age and, at 14, volunteered for the Rashtriya Swayamasevak Sangh (RSS). His commitment to politics increased by joining the party, and he saw politics as his vocation.
Career:
In 1944: In Karachi's Model High School, Advani started working as a teacher. During this time, he maintained his work with the RSS.
In the latter half of 1947, Advani started to get more political and served as the RSS Secretary for Alwar, Bharatpur, Kota, Bundi, and Jhalawar.
In 1957, Advani met Atal Bihari Vajpayee and relocated to Delhi to help him.
In 1960, Advani was appointed assistant editor of Jana Sangh's political publication, "Organiser," where he remained until 1967.
Advani currently represents the Gandhi Nagar constituency in parliament and is a mentor to the upcoming BJP leaders.
Advani was elected Leader of the Opposition in 2004 after the BJP suffered a defeat in the polls.
In 1988: Advani became the Home Minister under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was, by this point, the Prime Minister.
