Gary Anthony James Webb, popularly known as Gary Numan, was born on March 8th, 1958 in Hammersmith, London. He grew up as part of a working-class family and quickly developed an interest in music. At an early age he began to play the piano. As the years went by he was inspired by the rise of glam rock and electronic music.

1978: Released his first solo album at age 20 “The Pleasure Principle” featuring “Cars.”
