About (Profile/Biography):
There is an American musician named Christine Ellen "Chrissie" Hynde who is famous for her involvement in the band 'The Pretenders' as a founding member and lead guitarist. Their biggest hits were ‘Brass in Pocket’, which became rock anthems of the 1970s and 1980s, and caused the band to become famous. With band mate James Honeyman-Scott, he co-wrote the song 'Brass in Pocket' in collaboration with Hynde, who is also a singer and songwriter. It should be noted that some of the band's singles also became big-time hits, such as 'Middle of the Road', 'Show Me', and 'I'll Stand by You'. Between the late 1970s and early 1990s, Hynde dominated the rock landscape as one of the leading women of the era, influenced by the counter-culture of the hippies.
Chrissie Hynde Career:
Chrissie Hynde spent eight months working as an architect in London, where she was able to develop her skills. After meeting journalist Nick Kent, she landed a job at the UK music magazine 'NME' in the midst of her career journey.
In 1976, Chrissie Hynde visited France and tried to form a band, but it didn't work out, so she was forced to leave. After joining The Frenchies, she became a member of the group. As the lead singer of the band, she took over from the original singer after the original singer left the band.
Chrissie Hynde’s role as a guitarist with Masters of the Backside became apparent when the band 999 didn't take off as planned.
As early as 1978, she prepared a demo tape which she gave to the owner of Real Records, Dave Hill.
Their first gig occurred at a Paris night club in January 1979, when they produced and released the single 'Stop Your Sobbing'. In the United Kingdom, the single reached the position of number 30.
'Pretenders' was released on January 7, 1980, and the band became famous when it became the first album to chart in the charts.
As of June 10, 2014, Hynde is releasing her debut solo album titled Stockholm.
