Brooks Wackerman was born on 15th February 1977 and is an American musician. He joined the heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold in 2015. The Stage (2016) was his first album with Avenged Sevenfold. His most notable role was as the drummer of the punk rock band Bad Religion (2001-15). He formed a band called Bad4Good in 1991 when he was a teenager. In 1992, the band released one album produced by Steve Vai called Refugee.
Brooks Wackerman Career:
Infectious Grooves (1993–present)
Brooks Wackerman was a member of Infectious Grooves from 1993 to 2000, playing drums on the albums Groove Family Cyco in 1994 and Mas Borracho in 2000. The band resumed activities in November 2019, and he performed in Brazil.
Suicidal Tendencies (1996–2001)
Brooks Wackerman played drums for Suicidal Tendencies from 1996 to 2001, appearing on Six the Hard Way in 1998, Freedumb in 1999, and Free Your Soul and Save My Mind in 2000. In 2001, he left the band to join Bad Religion.
Bad Religion (2001–2015)
His role as drummer for Bad Religion began in 2001 after Bobby Schayer left the band due to a shoulder injury. His appearances with them include five albums (The Process of Belief, The Empire Strikes First, New Maps of Hell, The Dissent of Man, and True North), as well as the EP Christmas Songs from 2013.
Avenged Sevenfold (2015–present)
Brooks Wackerman was announced as Avenged Sevenfold's new drummer on 4th November 2015. Before the official announcement, Brooks worked with the band to "fit in" with the new drummer.
