Donatella Francesca Versace is a model, entrepreneur, socialite, and fashion designer from Italy. She worked closely on the creation of the brand, particularly how it fused Italian elegance with pop culture and celebrity, alongside her brother Gianni Versace, the creator of the high-end fashion house Versace. She received a share of the Versace company after Gianni's passing in 1997 and was appointed creative director. She currently holds the position of chief creative officer for the business. She is highly recognised for helping to create the supermodel craze of the 1990s with the help of her brother Gianni by using editorial models on the runway.
