Bill Blass, a fashion designer who was born on June 22, 1922 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His career started as an artist and later launched his own fashion company, Bill Blass Limited in ‘59. He became known for timeless and sophisticated designs that won him recognition and plenty of awards. Some include the Coty American Fashion Critics Award and the CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award. After a long tenure he retired in ‘99 and sold his company before passing away on June 12, 2002.
