Meryl Davis, a former professional ice dancer from the United States, was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, on January 1, 1987. At the age of five, she began skating, and at eight, she teamed up with Charlie White. One of the most successful ice dance teams in history, Davis and White won six straight US National Championships in addition to the Olympic gold medal in 2014 and two World Championships.

When Davis and White were just eight years old, they started skating together. As soon as they won their first US National Championship in 2009, they rose to prominence as one of the most successful ice dance teams in the world.

From 2009 to 2014, they won six straight national championships, becoming the first American ice dance team to win an Olympic gold medal.

In addition to their Olympic triumphs, Davis and White won 20 other tournaments over the course of their career, including two World Championships.

In 2017, they made the announcement that they were giving up competitive skating.
