Brian Moynihan, a well-known American investment banker, was born in Ohio. Businessman Brian Moynihan serves as Bank of America's chairman and CEO. Moynihan worked in the banking sector for a number of years prior to joining the Bank of America in 2009 as head of consumer and small business banking (SBB). He oversaw Fleet's brokerage and wealth management section in his capacity as executive vice president. Moynihan graduated from Brown University in 1981 after studying history and serving as co-captain of the rugby team.
Moynihan joined Bank of America (BoA) as president of worldwide wealth and investment management after BoA and FleetBoston Financial merged in 2004.
After Merrill Lynch was acquired by BoA and he was named CEO, Bank of America hired him as its head of operations.
