The Brazilian billionaire investment banker Jorge Paulo Lemann (born August 26, 1939) has dual citizenship with the Brazilian and Swiss governments. His parents were Swiss immigrants Paul Lemann and Anna Yvette Truebner, who founded the dairy manufacturer Leco in Rio de Janeiro in 1939. During his time in Rio de Janeiro, Lemann attended the American School. 
Jorge Paulo Lemann's Education: A bachelor's degree in economics was awarded to him by Harvard University in 1960.
Jorge Paulo Lemann Career:     
1961 to 1962: Jorge Paulo Lemann trained at Credit Suisse in Geneva. As early as 1966, Lemann's first lending company, Invesco, went bankrupt. Lemann owned a 2% stake in the company.
1971: The Brazilian investment bank Banco Garantia was founded by Lemann, Carlos Alberto Sicupira, and Marcel Herrmann Telles. 
1994: A heart attack struck him when he was 54 years old. Banco Garantia was acquired by Credit Suisse First Boston for $675 million in July 1998 due to the Asian financial crisis.
1990 to 2001: Jorge Paulo Lemann served on the board of directors of Companhia Cervejaria Brahma. He is a director of Endeavor's Brazil office. 
2004: The company controlled 65% of Brazilian beer and almost 80% of Argentina's, as well as monopolies in Paraguay, Uruguay, and Bolivia.
Jorge Paulo Lemann Unknown Facts:
His involvement in several initiatives aimed at improving education quality in Brazil has led him to advocate for education reform. The Lemann Foundation and the Lemann Centre for Entrepreneurship and Educational Innovation are just two educational institutions he founded.
Jorge Paulo Lemann sits on the boards of Anheuser-Busch InBev and the International Olympic Committee. Harvard University has also appointed him as a trustee.
