François-Henri Pinault was born on 28 May 1962. He is a French businessman. He is the CEO and chairman of Kering and the president of Groupe Artémis. Under his leadership, PPR was transformed into the luxury fashion group Kering. He was married to Dorothée Lepère between 1996 and 2004. Their children are François, born in 1998, and Mathilde, born in 2001. A relationship with supermodel Linda Evangelista lasted from September 2005 until January 2006. 1988: François-Henri Pinault was promoted to the position of manager of the buying department at PPR (then called Pinault Distribution), to the position of head manager of France Bois Industries in 1989, and then to the position of head manager of Pinault Distribution in 1990.
