Craig McCaw's father was the owner of Gotham Broadcasting Corporation and he was also doing a business of commercialization of Television and radio stations. However, tragedy struck at the age of 57 when his father passed away in 1969, leaving behind a company in Centralia, Washington, with an estimated 2000 to 4000 subscribers and a significant debt that was not sold to repay.
