Mitch Albom is a famous American writer who is known for many things in addition to writing. He was born in New Jersey and has also written music, films, and shows as well as being a journalist and doing radio and TV. When he found himself interested in this field he got a job at Queens Tribune which served two purposes: explore something new and strengthen his writing resume. Eventually, he applied to Columbia University where he pursued journalism then got an MBA.

Career:

Albom held a part-time job at a sports magazine and played the piano at night to help pay for his tuition.

Mitch worked in nightclubs for numerous years while pursuing his musical aspirations.

Mitch rapidly became well-liked by his sports readers. He was given a weekly non-sports column in 1989 that focused on American culture and ideals. 

After graduating, Mitch continued to pursue his interest in sports writing by working as a freelancer for sports publications because of his work with the sports magazine.

Achievements and Awards:

No other author has ever had the honor of winning the best feature writing prize even twice; Albom has won it seven times.

Albom won the 1985 Associated Press Sports Editor Award, and due to this success, the Detroit Free Press hired him as their lead sports columnist.
