Debbie Macomber, an American author born straight out of Washington. Her pen is coated with enchantment and she is one of today’s most respected writers. Mastering the art of romance and modern women’s literature, she has written some wonderful stories. These tales are almost lifelike and her characters have a way of resonating with audience members. She draws on her own views and experiences to create them, that way they really feel real. Readers can find the beauty in the everyday living, home and family, and even small town life by reading her works. While it has its serious moments, it isn’t lacking any comedy either.
Career:
Macomber realized her dream of becoming published despite having dyslexia and an inability to read until the fifth grade.
Macomber’s book, Heartsong, was released by Silhouette Books in 1982 and received a review from Publishers Weekly.
Three of her books were ranked first on bestselling lists published by reputable media. Additionally, Debbie is the first-ever recipient of a "Readers' Choice" Quill Award for her work in the romance genre.
Debbie released her first cookbook, a children's book, and a second inspirational nonfiction book in 2009.
Macombers’sbook was turned into a television movie by Hallmark Channel, which had the highest number of viewers that year.
Achievements and Awards:
In 2005, she also received the B. Dalton Award, Hot Medallion, and RT Book Reviews Career Achievement Awards.
