Actor Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, better known as Rajinikanth, is from India and excels in Tamil films. Rajinikanth worked in a variety of odd jobs before pursuing a career in movies, including bus conductor and coolie positions in Bangalore.

He made his acting debut in Apoorva Raagangal, directed by the legendary K Balachander, in 1975, and hasn't looked back since. He has received numerous honours and medals.

He married Latha Parthasarathy on February 26, 1981, in Tirupati and have two daughters named Aishwarya and Soundarya.

Career

In 1975: He made his acting debut in Katha Sangama, where he had a small part.

In 1977: The Super Star got his first break as an actor in Chilakamma Cheppindi.

In 1980: With the remake of Don Movie called Billa, Rajinikanth experienced his first commercial hit. Billa's commercial success marked a major turning point in his career.

In 1983: Rajnikanth made his cinematic debut in Hindi with a movie starring Amitabh Bachchan.

In 1991: He appeared alongside Bachchan in two other Hindi movies, including Hum.

From 1991-1999: Later, Rajnikanth appeared in many of India's biggest box office hits, such as Thalapathi, Baasha, and Padayappa.

In 2007: Rajinikanth received of Rs. 26 crore in the blockbuster film Shivaji.
