Nassar, one of India’s most well-known actors. He was the debutant in a K.Balachander film in 1985. Initially, just a secondary supporting character — but later moved onto villainous roles. One of the first to get his breakthrough as a police officer in Nayakan (1987), putting himself up there with the most important actors in Indian cinema. Gaining an opportunity after opportunity following that and becoming a regular face for Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan projects. Currently, he’s serving as president for the South Indian Actors Association.
Career:
In 1985: Nassar made his acting debut in Kalyana Agathigal.
In 1987: In the film "Nayakan," he played a police officer.
In 1992: His performance in "Thevar Magan" promoted him to fame and critical praise.
In 1995: Nassar made his directing debut with Avatharam.
In 1997: Nassar soon after starred in and directed the film "Devathai." He has appeared in both Hindi and South Indian films, including Chachi 420.
In 2015: Nassar portrayed Bijjaladeva, a pivotal role in the films Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion.
In 2016: Nassar rose to prominence as an actor in films such as Kabali.

Prior to acting, he served in the Indian Air Force as an airman.
