Kamal Haasan was born in Tamil Nadu on November 7, 1954. He worked as a child actor in "Kalathoor Kannamma". The actor has appeared in over 220 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, among others. As of 2020, he has been in the industry for 60 years. From child actor to romantic lead, he has played a wide range of roles in the film industry. Haasan is now regarded as one of the industry's most admired and revered figures.

Career:

Haasan received the Rashtrapati Award for Kalathur Kannamma when he was six years old.

In 1982: For Moondram Pirai, Haasan received his first National Film Award.

In 1983: Haasan appeared in Sagara Sangamam for which he received his first Nandi Award for Best Actor.

In 1976: At the age of 18, he wrote his first screenplay for the film "Unarchigal".

In 1983: Some of his most well-known dance performances can be seen in “Saagara Sangamam”.

In 1987: Haasan appeared in Nayakan for which he received National Award. The same year Haasan appeared in silent film, Pushpaka Vimana.

In 1997: His directing career began with the film ”Chachi 420”.

In 2003: Haasan co-starred with Madhavan in Anbe Sivam.

In 1990, Haasan received the Padma Shri award.
