Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. was born in San Mateo, California, on August 3, 1977. He is a former football quarterback from the United States who spent 22 seasons in the National Football League. From 2001 to 2019, Brady spent his first 20 seasons with the New England Patriots, a crucial part of the franchise’s success. He finished his final two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady is primarily recognized as the all-time most outstanding quarterback.
Career
Brady was picked 199th overall by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. After playing college football at Michigan, he earned the nickname “the NFL’s biggest draught steal.” He became the starting quarterback during his second season when the Patriots won their first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXVI.
As the team’s starting quarterback, Brady led the Patriots to 17 division victories, 13 AFC Championship Games, nine Super Bowl appearances, and six Super Bowl titles in his 18 seasons. In 2020, he joined the Buccaneers and dominated them to victory in Super Bowl LV, giving him a total of 10 Super Bowl appearances and seven triumphs.

2021 season: Final season
For most of the 2020 season, Brady suffered from a knee injury and would require a minor arthroscopy for a regular cleanout. It was revealed on February 11, 2021. On March 12, 2021, Brady agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Buccaneers to take him through the 2022 season.
After 22 seasons, Brady announced his retirement on February 1, 2022.
