Ratan Naval Tata was born in Bombay, presently Mumbai, on 28 December 1937. He is an Indian industrialist, philanthropist, and chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Group (from 1990 to 2012). He is the receiver of two of the highest civilian awards of India, The Padma Vibhushan (2008) and Padma Bhushan (2000). Ratan Tata was the adopted son of Jamsetji Tata, the founder of the house of Tata.
Education
He completed his schooling at the Campion School, Mumbai, and Bishop Cotton School in Shimla, and in 1955, graduated from New York City’s Riverdale Country School. In 1959, he obtained a degree in Architecture from Cornell University, and in 1975, he took part in the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
Achievements
Ratan Tata joined Tata Company in 1961 when he was acclimated to work on the shop floor of Tata Steel and was the perceptible successor of J.R.D. Tata upon the final’s retirement in 1991. He got Tata Tea to gain Tetley, Tata Motors to gain Jaguar Land Rover, And Tata Steel to gain Corus, in an aim to turn Tata from a large extent of India-centrist group into a worldwide business.
Personal Life
Ratan Tata recently stated that he loved a girl in Los Angeles during working there. He returned to India because of a family problem, but the girl’s parents didn’t permit her to come with Tata. So, By his commitment, he never married.
