Sanjay Gupta was born in 1969. He is a neurosurgeon, medical reporter, and author from the United States. He is the chief medical correspondent for CNN and serves as associate chief of the neurosurgery service at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also an associate professor of neurosurgery at Emory University School of Medicine, a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
