Benjamin William Bova was born on November 8, 1932. A writer and editor from the United States of America, he was well known for his work. There are more than 120 works of science fiction and fact that were written by him over the course of a sixty-year writing career, as well is a Hugo Award-winning editor of Analog Science Fiction and Fact, as well as an editorial director at Omni; he is also served as president of both the National Space Society and Science Fiction Writers of America during that period.
Career:
During the 1950s: Bova worked as a technical writer on the Project Vanguard program.
1960: As an employee of the Avco Everett Research Laboratory in the 1960s, he worked on a variety of projects.
1971: After the death of John W. Campbell, Bova became editor of Analog Science Fact & Fiction, replacing Campbell as editor.
1974: There was an episode of Land of the Lost that he co-wrote for the children's science fiction television series Land the Lost called "The Search".
His appearance as Author Guest of Honor at the 58th World Science Fiction Convention.
2008: The Robert A. Heinlein Award was given to him for his work in science fiction and fantasy.
2016: A total of over 124 books in a variety of genres have been written by Bova as of February.
Trivia Fact:
As a writer, he authored a series of novels about humans' exploration and colonization of the Solar System in a series called Grand Tour.
