Queen Victoria Early life, Education, Career, Awards, Achievements, Controversy, Unknown Facts

About (Profile/Biography):

Queen Victoria, a well-known monarch of Great Britain, was born in London. When Victoria was ten years old, she first learned about her future as a young princess during a history class. Victoria's governess recalled that the future queen responded to the revelation by saying, "I will be good" over forty years later. Victoria was a child of the generation that bears her name because of this blend of sincerity and egotism. However, the queen disapproved of key Victorian ideas and innovations. Victoria ruled in a society that exalted maternity and the family, even though she loathed childbearing, hated babies, and felt uneasy around kids.

Legacy:

Melbourne had a significant and, in many respects, negative influence on Victoria.

The first two crises of Victoria's reign, which broke in 1839, were exacerbated by her constitutionally risky political partisanship.

The Hastings incident started when Lady Flora Hastings, a maid of honor affiliated to and allied with the Tories, was coerced by Victoria into undergoing a pregnancy test.

Felice Orsini, an Italian immigrant from Britain, attempted to kill Napoleon III in 1858 using an English-made explosive.

Unknown facts:

Even as mechanical and technical advancements changed the face of European civilization, she opposed the change.

The custom of the sovereign having a specific role to play in foreign affairs and being able to handle them alone with a secretary of state continued. There were relatives of Victoria and Albert all over Europe, and there would be more

However, Victoria remained distant from or opposed many of the later Victorian era's significant intellectual, social, and political currents.
