Benjamin Franklin was a writer, inventor, politician, and an American genius. His role in the American Revolution and founding of the United States are key to his fame. Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1706 he started as a printer then worked his way up to owning his printing company. Helping us find ways to stay safe during a storm with the lightning rod, improving our vision with bifocal glasses, and keeping us warm during winter with the Franklin stove is just a small sample of this genius’ works. Adding to his list of accomplishments are Poor Richard's Almanack and The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin which have been published.
