About (Profile/Biography):
Henry Judah Heimlich was one of the most famous American thoracic surgeons and Medical researchers. He had done his post-graduation in medical science from Weill Cornell medical college. A technique enacted in 1974, abdominal thrusts to stop choking. He invented the "Heimlich Maneuver", the Micro Trach movable oxygen system for ambulatory patients, and the "Flutter Valve," used to drain air and blood out of the chest cavity. At the age of Ninety-six, he died at his home in Hyde Park from a Heart attack.
Career:
· In 1943: During World War II, Heimlich was in service with the U.S. Navy in China.
· In 2006: The guidelines terminated the phrase "Heimlich maneuver" and displaced it with "abdominal thrust."
· In 1945: Heimlich was one of the U.S. Navy Reserve Lieutenant members allocated to Heimlich to Camp Four of the SACO, which is located on the southern edge of the Gobi Desert Xamba in northern China.
· In 1975: Heimlich depicted the technique in a set of medical journal papers broadcast in the annulus of thoracic Surgery and the journal of the American medical association.
Awards and Achievement:
· In 1984: Heimlich received the “Lasker Award.”
· In 1985: Heimlich won the “Golden Plate Award “from the Academy of Achievement and Engineering and Science Hall of Fame.
Unknown Facts:
· The United States Food and Drugs Administration and hubs for disease control and prevention have not selected malariotherapy. Along with advocates for human rights and health professionals, the practice is "atrocious."
· The wife of Heimlich started her career as a freelance writer and became an advocate of controversial medical treatments like “chelian therapy.”
