Lawrence Edward Page is a computer scientist and internet entrepreneur from the United States. Along with Sergey Brin, he is best recognized as one of the co-founders of Google. Page was the CEO of Google from 1997 to August 2001 (when he stepped down in favor of Eric Schmidt), and later from April 2011 to July 2015, when he became the CEO of Alphabet Inc. (formed to deliver "significant breakthroughs" as Google's parent company), a position he maintained until December 4, 2019.

Larry Page married Lucinda Southworth in 2007 on the Caribbean island of Necker.

Career

In 1998 – Page and Brin founded Google, Inc. with the first domain name "Googol."

In 2005 – He managed the $50 million acquisition of Android to achieve his goal of putting mobile computers in the hands of people.

In 2011 – Page was named the new CEO of Google officially.

In 2013 – He founded the private Calico initiative, biotechnology research and development project.

In 2019 – Page has declared that he would step down as Alphabet's CEO.
