Hamm was Mitt Romney's energy advisor in 2012, and he donated to and advised Romney's campaign.

1967 & 2012: Harold Hamm founded Shelly Dean Oil Company in 1967, which later became Continental Resources. Only months after being hired as Mitt Romney's energy advisor, he donated $985,000 to Restore Our Future.
