Vince Gilligan is an American writer, producer, and director born on February 10, 1967. Breaking Bad (2008–2013) and Better Call Saul (2015–2022) were two of his television works. He co-created The Lone Gunmen (2001), a spin-off of The X-Files. He wrote and produced It (1993-2002; 2016-2018). He also wrote the screenplay for the 2008 film Hancock and wrote, produced, and directed El Camino, the sequel to Breaking Bad.
Vince Gilligan Career:
• Vince Gilligan got his big break when he joined The X-Files on Fox. He wrote an episode script that became "Soft Light" in the second season.
• As a late-night television host, he introduced Gilligan to classic film noirs and John Wayne and Clint Eastwood Westerns. He won a scholarship to Interlochen Center for the Arts. He attended Lloyd C. Bird High School in Chesterfield after eighth grade.
• Vince Gilligan created, wrote, directed, and produced the drama series Breaking Bad for AMC. The series was premised on the hero becoming the villain.
• Vince Gilligan agreed to stay with Sony TV on a new three-year deal in July 2018. Recently, his deal with High Bridge Productions was renewed.
• His acting debut was in 2014's "VCR Maintenance and Educational Publishing," episode nine of the fifth season of Community on NBC. As a cheesy actor, he hosts the video game "Pile of Bullets," which is based on the VCRs of the 1990s.
